Tracy Lambright, a native of the Beaumont area, began working his way through a variety of tattoo shops in the Houston area in 2001. Learning the basics of the craft from his uncle Mike, Tracy’s passion for tattooing quickly grew into an all consuming hunger, which still propels him to this very day. Before opening Painstaking Art Tattoo, he worked at Scorpion studios, beginning in the mid 2000’s. Tracy’s diverse skills envelope several styles from black-and-grey, bold color, and rugged Americana, to his current and favorite adoration, large scale Japanese work and its European reimagining. His appreciation for both the history and the technical challenges of the style have him spending considerable time researching its techniques and nuances. Outside of tattooing, Tracy enjoys painting and spending quality time with friends and family.
