FAQ

How Much Is It Going to Cost?

If you’re looking for a quality tattoo, you’ll want to work with a quality artist and you’ll need to be willing to pay for it. Sure, you can always find someone who is willing to do the work for less, but your investing in a piece of art you’ll wear for the rest of your life.

A lot of artists find it disrespectful when you try to haggle about the cost. If you want to build a great relationship with your artist, consider their skill set and the time they are going to invest in you.

Does It Hurt?

Everyone has a different tolerance for pain, however pain is relative. There are literally needles penetrating your skin, so yes – it does hurt, but not that much. But let’s face it, folks wouldn’t be coming back for more if it was so bad.

Depending on where you want your tattoo placed, that area could be more tender than another – if your concerned about the pain, talk to your artist. Some have compared the process to a “hot scratching feeling,” while others find it enjoyable – if not addicting, and some don’t find it pleasant at all – but you’ll never know until you try it! Most of us are not into pain, but the beauty of the tattoo and the pride associated with wearing it far outweighs a little pin-stick here and there.

Should I Tip My Tattoo Artist?

Yes.

Tipping is a really nice gesture, but there are no real solid ground rules for tipping. If your happy, tip when you can. At the very least, if your happy remember to let your artist know.

What Should I Get? And Where?

We have Flash (tattoo ideas) for you to check out when you’re at the shop. However, you can find inspiration everywhere. Some have picked a wild flower in a field and others have photos or images from the web where they have drawn inspiration from.  If you have an idea, but need an expert to bring it all together, we have artists who can help bring your idea to life with a consulation. At the end of the day, its all a matter of personal taste. You can get whatever you want, and whatever your artist is willing to do.

As far as where you should get it goes, just keep in mind what you do for work and the type of social circles you are in. You might want to consider placing your tattoo where it can be easily covered up with normal clothing.

Is It OK to Get a Tattoo if I’m Sick?

The short answer is no. You don’t want to get your artist sick and you want your body to be in the best shape to heal. If you have an appointment, call and reschedule for when you’re feeling well again.
