Kai Trevino
Kai Trevino, a San Antonio, Texas native, discovered his passion for tattooing through the influence of his father, an artist whose dream of tattooing remained unfulfilled due to the demands of raising a family. Inspired by his father’s creativity, Kai chose to pursue tattooing while in college, deciding to explore the artistic path his dad had dreamed of.
Kai honed his craft through apprenticeships at Twisted Tattoo and Doomsday Tattoo in San Antonio, gaining valuable experience and building a solid foundation in the art form. With three years of tattooing under his belt, he has also worked in various studios and traveled extensively, completing guest spots across the country.
Specializing in traditional tattoo styles with a focus on black and grey work, Kai’s art is deeply inspired by the fantasy-driven illustrations of Frank Frazetta and the surreal, biomechanical visions of H.R. Giger. His love for rock and roll music fuels his creativity, giving his designs an edgy and timeless quality.
Kai prides himself on maintaining a personal, ego-free approach with his clients, ensuring that every tattoo reflects their unique vision and story. Beyond tattooing, he channels his artistic energy as a bassist for the metal band Leather Church. A practicing Buddhist, Kai’s outlook on life brings balance and mindfulness to his work and relationships.
Whether he’s tattooing, making music, or embracing the philosophy of Buddhism, Kai Trevino approaches every endeavor with passion and authenticity.
